Just wanted to thank you for hosting the Liberty Bell Games last weekend. My son, Tommy Fetterman, had a great experience. The staff made the players feel special while providing a fun and competitive environment for them to show off their skills. You could really see the love of the game shine through, not just in my son but in all the other players who participated. Well done. We appreciate the opportunity. Thank you.
Jay Fetterman
Michael's experience at the Liberty Bell Games was amazing. It was, by far, the best showcase he has participated in to date. He was honored that he was chosen to participate in such a prestigious event and was ecstatic that he had a good showing there.
Regards,
Andrea Young
Thank you for inviting me to the Liberty Bell Games, it was an amazing experience. It was a pleasure to be a part of this event. I had a great time and would love to be part of this again next year.
Nicholas Bernardo
Just a quick note to thank you for allowing my son Alex to participate in the LBG this past weekend. He had a great time! It was a well-run event in a first class facility. The talent was deep and the games were competitive. He has already been contacted by three different prep schools who saw him play and were impressed by his game. None of that would have happened if he hadn’t played in this event. Once again thank you!
Regards,
Mike Moeller
Just wanted to say thank you for having me play in the 2018 Liberty Bell Games this past weekend. I had a great time and thought the games were a lot of fun. I also enjoyed seeing some of my friends I have not seen for a while too.
Thank you also for the great backpack and water bottle — I'll be taking my backpack with me this summer to the rinks and any other hockey events.
Hope to see you soon at a rink again over the summer or when the season starts.
Will Donato
I would like to say thank you for a great experience we have at Liberty Bell Games, Brandon and I were so happy to be part of the LBG event this weekend.
Thank you for all you do for young hockey players.
Kind Regards,

Thank you for a great weekend. Top notch well organized event both on/off the ice, super competitive games, and a friendly learning environment! My son and I both appreciate all the hard work in putting together such a quality event!

The Liberty Bell Games is one of the top events to scout and evaluate high level players in the Northeast each year. It is a well-run event involving players that not only play at a high level on the ice, but are young men of strong character as well. It is an important stop on the recruiting trail for Junior, Prep, and College programs.
Thank you for having me again this year. I look forward to the 2018 edition!
Kurt
The Liberty Bell Games is one of the best showcases out there. If you are a high-end hockey player looking for exposure to DI colleges, Prep Schools, and NHL scouts then this showcase is a must. The entire staff does a tremendous job getting the right players, and they do a first-class job running it.

I wanted to take a moment and again thank you for including Aidan when the opportunity became available. He loves this sport and is very appreciative of every opportunity he gets to be on the ice. The Liberty Bell Games had a great group of talent, and the experience certainly helps Aidan to understand what the next level looks like. Everything about the experience was first class, and all of your hard work is obvious. Along with that your continued customer service and care throughout the weekend is unmatched by anything we have been a part of in our hockey journey. Please pass along our appreciation to the entire Liberty Bell Games staff.
Best Regards,
Sean McCabe
I had another solid weekend coaching at the Liberty Bell Games. The hockey was fun, fast and competitive and the coaches I got a chance to meet, or catch up with, were a great addition for me. The players, as usual, were fun to be around and I always enjoy seeing the best players in our area compete. You all continue to do a fine job with the weekend.
Looking forward to coaching in 2018!!!

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the great showcase, I really enjoyed playing. It helped me to pick out the things in my game that I need to work on. The games made me make quicker decisions with the puck because of how good the competition was. I look forward to attending the camp next year. You guys really do a good job of running the showcase. Thanks again.
Kind regards,
Avery
The Liberty Bell Games were an amazing experience for my son. There was a lot of great competition and an amazing set up all around. You can really tell how much work you and your staff has put in to these games, extremely organized. I was very impressed with the amount of scouts that were there watching the games. I really look forward to coming back next year.

The tournament was great! I feel I got an excellent reading on the first 9 games. You and your staff do an excellent job and are to be highly commended for such. I can never thank you enough for all your help and support. There were a couple of major schools in attendance like Northeastern and Merrimack, and you did have a lot of good future prospects playing. You and your staff have once again put on a first class tourney, and we wish you continued success and pray that you'll be able to continue on for years to come, for this is an excellent opportunity for the players in your area for college, major junior and professional exposure.
Again I cannot thank you enough for including us; Paul Merritt, Eric Soltys, in this years Liberty Bell Games tournament.
Bob Crocker, LA Kings
I wanted to thank you for including Jack in 2016 Liberty Bell Games. As you did last year, the event exceeded expectations. The exposure that you give each and every kid is difficult to duplicate at other tournaments. From my perspective the venue was spectacular, the games were competitive, the scouts were plentiful and the officiating was professional. Both this year and last year the event generated a good number of follow-up conversations between our family and members of the hockey community. As of today we have received three email offers from boarding schools and had two conversations with head coaches from D-1 programs. Those conversations would not have taken place if not for your first class event.
Thanks for all you do for hockey in NJ, and we'll see you next year!
Warm Regards,
The Malones
Thank you very much for the opportunity to scout at such a fantastic event. I was tremendously impressed through your the showcase by the professionalism of the entire staff involved. The sponsors, the organizers, the staff at the arena, and the outstanding product of talent from top to bottom on each roster. This venue was first class from every angle I looked at it.
This is an event I would highly recommend to any player that is invited to attend. I know I will be putting it on my annual schedule of as a can\'t miss event to watch the future pro hopefuls from the area in these prime development years.
A round of applause is in order for the notch job to all involved.
See you next year for certain.
Thank you,

Just a note to say thank you for a great weekend! Everything was first rate and my son Pito had a great experience. Please pass along my sincere thanks to Lew, Bill and all the guys involved.
See you next year!

I wanted to thank you for inviting John to the Liberty Bell Games. You put on a tremendous event here in NJ and I wanted to let you know. Everything about the event was first class!!!
See you at the rink,
Anthony Farinacci
Once again I attended the Liberty Bell Games, and once again I was impressed! The level of play was fantastic and clearly your formula for player/team selection is magic. The games were competitive and I was able to see many prospects. The players of the 2016 Liberty Bell Games had great exposure, the amount of scouts and coaches in attendance was incredible, and the materials given to us were detailed and user friendly! It's obvious a lot of attention was given to every detail to make this feel just like the elite event it is. The venue is spectacular (you compliment each other), and the entire Liberty Bell Games staff should be applauded. Congratulations to Lew, Anne, Bill, Tony, and to the Sponsors of your showcase, Wendy's and the New Jersey Devils for another first class showcase! I look forward to 2017.

As an NHL Scout, a big part of my job is to attend various tournaments. Without a doubt, the Liberty Bell Tournament is the most well run and well organized event that I have had the pleasure of scouting. Lew Mongelluzzo and his staff do an outstanding job of providing a great venue for the players in the area to showcase the talent they have. The Liberty Bell staff is second to none, and the opportunity that they afford to the Young Hockey Players goes a long way in helping them to secure College Scholarships and exposure to NHL Scouts. I Look forward to attending the Liberty Bell every June and is a must on my calendar.
Bob Luccini, Carolina Hurricanes
Good morning Lew,
On behalf of Paul Merritt and Bob Luccini, I want to thank you so much for having us attend your Liberty Bell Games Tournament, which has become a special hockey event. For all that are involved in the game must attend and see how this remarkable tournament has grown and developed down through these years. You are to commended by all in hockey for putting this first class hockey program on display for all to see, for it is getting to be a must see event for all College, Prep school coaches, NHL, Major Junior Scouts, etc. We feel the addition of the players born in 2000 was very important, which will pay positive dividends in the future for we do have a lot of high end futures playing here. You are a true professional, you do so much to promote this game we all love, it is indeed an honor for us to be able to be included in this special tournament, and can never thank you enough for your support, help and caring!
You and your staff, Bill Underwood work very hard and do an amazing job, and again are to be commended for such by all of us involved in hockey.
Our best wishes and thanks.
Bob Crocker, LA Kings
I just wanted to write a note and say that the games were fantastic this year, for me it was a first time at this event and without a doubt was one of the better organized, talent-laden showcases I have been to this season or any other. The amount of teams (6) is ideal for seeing players numerous times, and for someone who can only catch the Atlantic-area players in the winter a handful of times each, it allows one to scout all of those players in a highly competitive environment, providing viewings that are much more valuable than many regular season AAA games. The efforts of Lew Mongelluzzo, Bill Underwood and the staff as a whole are apparent in the professional nature of the event and it is clear the evaluators know this region as well if not better than anyone in the hockey world. Thank you for having me this weekend and look forward to coming to many more in the future.
Jasper Kozak-Miller

I attended the 2015 Liberty Bell Games as an Independent and WOW...what a spectacular showcase! It was evident the time and careful consideration that went into this weekend event. It was an absolute pleasure meeting your Event Director, Anne. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional and left no detail undone; it was truly first class! I was very impressed with the games, the caliber of players that participated and amazed at the number of scouts in attendance.
Congratulations and I look forward to 2016!
Wayne Shaw
Hi Bill it was nice to met you at the Liberty Bell Games.
I wanted to thank you for the player overview you provided. The teams were all balanced and each game was well played. I really enjoyed scouting the games. Bob and I were talking on the ride home about what a great job Lew and yourself did to develop such a great showcase for the players.
Thanks again stay well.

On behalf of all the coaches, scouts, hockey personnel, it was again a privilege to be invited and attend for the Sixth straight year of the Liberty Bell Games. It is such an honor to be able take part in these games, and we as coaches, scouts, etc., be able to congratulate and recognize a true professional in Lew Mongelluzzo, and his professional staff You are all to be highly commended for your excellent presentation and the continuance of this great tournament. As a former college coach of 24 years, and now a scout for the L.A. Kings, I openly say to you all, this is one of the outstanding tournaments that takes place here in the East. It is absolutely amazing to see how this tournament has grown and developed over these past few years. I feel it is a must tournament to attend for the development of all young players, especially for those that live in this area. The fast pace of the Liberty Bell Games, which was held at the Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees New Jersey, was due to the immense talent that was compiled by Lew and his staff. Each team had multiple talented prospects, that ranged from Juniors up to the range of 99 Birth Dates. All players did a super job showcasing their talents and skills, before a litany of scouts and coaches, varying from juniors, colleges, all the way to the NHL. The games were all close, quite spirited and competitive, they displayed the intensity normally reserved for the regular season or playoff games. Overall the Liberty Bell Games is an excellent forum for young players to showcase their abilities in front of coaches and scouts at every level. The tournament is directed and run in an excellent orderly fashion, all games were run on time, the officiating was solid, and the players played as in mid-season form. The bottom line is this is a great teaching tournament, directed by a true professional, Lew Mongelluzzo and his really fine staff, to whom we say thank you for allowing us to be exposed and being a part of this excellent Liberty Bell GamesTournament.
Bob Crocker

Hi Lew,
I want to congratulate you and your staff and volunteers on another great and well run Liberty Bell Games. I am and have been very impressed with the parity of the teams. I don't remember any "Blow outs" or the need for a "slaughter rule" in any of the the Liberty Bell Tournaments, which I can say about any of the many other tournaments I attend.
The venue is a pleasure to go to and the written materials, with great information on the players is outstanding. The players that I've talked to are very satisfied with the exposure and the competition that they get and gave me good feedback on the complete experience.
As a Pro Scout I look forward to attending next years Liberty Bell Games and many more. It is an excellent "take" for me to watch the players from that area and evaluate those that will be ready for the upcoming 2015 Draft.
Once again Congratulations and best of luck in your future Liberty Bell Games.
Sincerely,
Paul Merritt

As a product of the Atlantic District myself, I am very proud to be associated with the Liberty Bell Games. In my opinion it has become this area's premier showcase event. Lew Mongelluzzo and his staff provides a terrific venue for today's generation of talent to compete against other high end players, while showcasing their abilities in front of scouts and recruiters from all levels of hockey, including the NHL. For the players, parents, coaches, recruiters, and scouts the entire experience really is first-rate.

Wanted to quickly thank you for having me down this past weekend to view the Liberty Bell Games. I thought it was a wonderful tournament, with a lot of promising young prospects. On top of the play, the organization of everything, from the rosters to game times where wonderfully managed.
Thank you once again for everything.

Lew,
I just wanted to take a minute of your time to thank you for allowing me and Lawrenceville to be a part of the games this year. It was great to be on the bench with the players and to listen to stories (especially yours) in the meeting room. I have attended the event for 3 years now and it is a great chance to meet talented players from the Mid-Atlantic region. I hope to get the opportunity to be involved in the future too.

Lew,
I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to thank you in person, but I wanted to say thanks to you and your staff for once again putting on a top-flight event. I know how much work it takes to make things run so smoothly, but you make it look easy.
Thanks again,

Gentlemen,
I wanted to thank you again for getting Hunter into the Liberty Bell Games on late notice. I was in Toronto for the weekend and did not have a chance to attend. When I got home last night Hunter told me how nice of an event it was and how strong the competition was. He was amazed at the number of scouts that attended the event.
Best of luck in future years with the event. Next year we will sign up early.
Nick Canestra
Hats off to you Lew for another incredibly run tournament. It continues to be one of the highlights of the year for my son. Being able to watch that level of talent locally is a real treat. While this was his last year as a 97, we plan to come back next year as spectators. Thanks again for a great experience over the last few years.
John Donohue
Hi Lew:
As someone who travels extensively throughout the summer searching for future prep school student-athletes, I can honestly say that you run one of the finest showcases in the Northeast. The atmosphere, from the first step in the rink to the on-ice product, is one of professionalism, something too often unseen at many of the other summer events throughout New England and the Atlantic District. You put the players and their experience first, and because of that you have attracted the top talent in the area. The evolution of the Liberty Bell Games is nothing short of remarkable in five short years, and I recommend it to all current Gunnery families, along with any prospective families who I come in contact with. The greatest compliment to your work and the level of product is seen by the dozens of collegiate and pro scouts who attend and take a genuine interest in the players. NCAA coaches believe your showcase to be one of the finest of the summer. Thank you, as always, for allowing me to be a part of it.
Best,
Chris Baudo
Dear Mr. Mongelluzzo,
I was a lucky to be able to participate in the Liberty Bell Games over the past weekend.
I would like to thank you for putting together this tournament. The whole tournament was very well planned with a high level of competition, and the pool of scouts was extensive.
Once again, I would like to thank you for making this happen, and I look forward to playing again next year.
Thank you,
Chris DalFarra
Good morning Lew:
Thank you very much for another positive experience in having us attend the Liberty Bell tournament, you and your staff (girls) do an excellent job and are to be commended for such, the Liberty Bell has established itself and is looked upon by all in hockey as a must tourney to see, I think it's a wonderful idea to formulate this all star team and have them play before a Flyers, exhibition or regular season home game, you work hard on this project and do such a good job in putting this all together, we as scouts are appreciative that we are included, we again thank you so much and wish you continued success always!
We'll continue to follow your website for pictures, write-ups, photos and updates.
Best Wishes always:

Dear Mr. Mongelluzzo,
My name is Brendan Donohue and I had the privilege to play in my second Liberty Bell Games tournament this weekend. After being a part of the showcase for my second time, there is no doubt in my mind it is the best showcase in the area. The elite competition in combination with the extensive number of scouts, offers everything a player would look for in a showcase.
I would like to congratulate you and your team of organizers on an incredibly well run event.
Sincerely,
Brendan Donohue
Lew,
Once again you did a great job with the Liberty Bell Games. I would like to say thank you from all of the Team Comcast players that made the showcase. This will be our last year doing the showcase. If you should need any help for next years games please let me know.
Thanks again,
Rich Brusco
Lew,
Thank you for letting my son Ryan Glander (97) participate in the Liberty Bell Games this past weekend. Very worthwhile. From the caliber of players to the ladies working the check in desk and the gift bags, everything was great. The number of scouts present was also impressive. We look forward to possibly participating again next year. Thank you.
Mike Glander
Hi Lew,
I did not get the chance to personally thank you this weekend, but another great event! Congrats on what is a top flight showcase and some great hockey. My son had a great time and terrific experience!
Thanks, JPD
This was my 3rd year attending the games and it was the best yet. The competitiveness of all the players in each and every game was terrific and the way they conducted themselves on the ice was great to see. I truly feel that the careful planning and extraordinary organizational skills in putting the event together makes it a top draw, not only for aspiring players, but also for all scouts/coaches hoping to get a jump on prospects and recruits.
Every year it has impressed me that the number of legitimate prospects increases. This is certainly a testament to hockey in the tri-state area.
I know we are all looking forward to the 2013 games already. The hospitality and great accommodations is greatly appreciated by all.
Your friend and scouting colleague,
Bill Berglund
Just wanted to let you know your event was run extemely well and was a great experience for our son. Too many of these tournaments are just "money grabs" and this we felt was not the case.
Thank you again,
Rob Colton
I participated in the Liberty Bell Games this past weekend. I didn't know what to expect because it was my first year, but I can say it was truly an amazing hockey experience. My coach was excellent and the talent at this tournament had challenged me as a player in ways I had not been challenged before. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to play in this tournament.

Liberty Bell Games
Tues. 6/12/12
USHR spent the past weekend at the Liberty Bell Games in Voorhees, NJ. The tournament, run by Ottawa Senators scout Lew Mongelluzzo and now in its fourth year, might be the most scout-friendly showcase we have ever attended. At the door we were given detailed player profiles for every participant as well as color-coded game sheets for the entire weekend. Scouts, spectators, and families were not charged to get in (as it should be) and players were treated like pros, getting a bundle of goodies upon arrival -- hockey tape, apparel, etc. As for the tournament itself, it is well established, with roughly 90% of the region's top players on hand (just a few guys were missing due to family obligations, USHL tryouts, etc.) Best of all, with only 100 players invited, the event is not watered down, and, with scouts from the NHL, NCAA,USHL, OHL and New England prep schools on hand, it provides excellent exposure for the top players from the NJ/Philly region.
U.S. Hockey Report
Just wanted to say thank you for running a great showcase. My son has gained more exposure from the Liberty Bell games than any other showcase he has attended. It's to bad that our time has run out but we have great memories to look back on. Thanks for everything.
Mark Bowen
Thank you for selecting Alex as a participant at Liberty Bell. As a first timer, he did not know what to expect. He was happy with the challenging competition; the professionalism of the event is evident. Kudos to all that made it happen!
Christine & Don Kalemba
I want to thank you for the opportunity to play in the Liberty Bell Games this past weekend. I had a great time and it was good, competitive hockey. I am looking forward to coming back next year.
Thank you,

I just wanted to take a quick minute to thank you for inviting my son to participate in the 2012 Liberty Bell Games. It was a tremendous experience for him. The talent level, the coaching and the overall organization of the event was top notch. Thank you again for all the work that you do to make this event such a great experience.
Sincerely,
John Donohue
I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Liberty Bell Games this year. It was a great opportunity for me to play with great talent in the area and in front of so many scouts and coaches and hockey people. It is my favorite tournament to play in and I will definitely miss it next year.
Thanks again for the great opportunity,
Bump Lisk
Just wanted to thank you for inviting our sons, Tim and Mike Gelatt, to the Liberty Bell Games this past weekend. The competition was fantastic and enjoyable to watch some very good hockey.
It was extremely well run and coordinated. Thank you again and look forward to next year.
Regards,
Tim
My son, Tyler Demyan just participated in the Liberty Bell Games. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the best summer hockey experience he has had to date. The event was so well organized. His coach was fantastic and his teammates were helpful and respectful. I can only hope that you will be interested in my son attending next year and the year after. Thank you again for caring about the players in the Atlantic District.
Kirk Demyan
On behalf of all the scouts I want to thank you again for inviting us to the second Liberty Bell Games which like last year was outstanding. You, Bill, Donna and staff are to be highly commended and proud for putting this phenomenal program all together. It has to be one of the, if not the very best camp for underage futures in the country. These kids are excellent prospects and to be able to see them all under one umbrella is terrific. This program is a must for every prep school coach in the country, college, And the USHL. Junior coaches must attend. This is truly a showcase for all involved in youth development to see.
This year like last, produced some excellent prospects. Nick Ebert was the very best in last year's initial tourney, and justifiably so, for he had a great season, with greater promise for the future. This year, Anthony DeAngelo was the stand-out for me, he has a lot of skill, talent, and much promise as a future prospect.
The player pool overall was excellent, with no one who was out of place. The quality of players in attendance is a credit to all of you.
As a staff member, we thank you so much for the first class reception and treatment. The hotel was excellent, everyone were very cordial and kind; a major league operation all the way. We are most appreciative and cannot thank you enough!
Again, my thanks for all you do for us, as we're are all most appreciative.
My best always to a good friend and hockey professional,
Bob
Donna,
Spoke with you on Sunday to thank you for the great job you and the guys did with the games, but wanted to follow up. We have traveled to many "big" tournaments with our son Eamon in Canada and the US over the past six years and we have never been treated so well! The boys were made to feel like professionals when they arrived at the rink, where they found personalized pro quality jerseys hanging in the locker room along with rolls of tape, socks and drinks. The goodie bag with a T-shirt, hat and bag were also a great touch. For the parents, not being charged rink admission fees was a very welcome benefit.
The group of coaches and scouts you brought in gave the event a great feel, and reinforced what a first class event you wanted to create. Having that many coaches and scouts in our backyard was fantastic. Thank you again for all the hard work you, Lew, Frank, Izzy, and Econ put into this. I know you also had some help from many in the local hockey community, but if it weren't for you guys, this great opportunity couldn't have happened. Thanks to all!
Hope and Bryan
Lew: I really enjoyed it. You treated all of us in a first-class fashion. I am excited about quite a few of the kids I saw. You served the players in the area well and you have opened our eyes to the market.
Well done and thank you for your hospitality.
Jack
Hi - I wanted to take a moment to Thank You for putting together a wonderful Ice Hockey Tournament right in our back yard. The exposure and attendance of many scouts added to the personal touch extended by all of you. It's not often today that we find ourselves invited to events where the kids and their purpose are put first.
Thanks Again - hope to see this become an annual event for the up and coming ice hockey players.
Susan W. McCarthy
Having been involved in the sport of hockey all my life, as a college coach, Assistant General Manager (NHL), and as an NHL scout, I want to commend Lew Mongelluzzo and his entire support staff in formulating the Liberty Bell Games, which were a huge success in this the inaugural year of this event, the tourney was well organized and conducted in a first class manner, a solid fore-mat, games were even and very competitive, the talent base was excellent, the entire event was a huge success and serves as a scouting base for college coaches, prep school, junior coaches, and NHL personnel. The Liberty Bell Tourney only projects to get better in future years, and is a must for all young players that want to get proper exposure, training and further development, I heartily recommend it to all young players to attend this stellar and important event.

Wanted to send another thanks to you for setting up and running a great hockey weekend for the kids with the Liberty Bell Games. Connor still talks about it and was already contacted by a coach of a Jr team. This was really great exposure for him and he looks forward to doing it next year!
As I mentioned to you before we left, The event was very well run and it was very easy for the boys to relax, have fun, and enjoy the game. You had asked me to send any recommendations and I spoke to Connor to get his impression. The only thing he said might be good is to meet some of the scouts in some sort of "mixer" and give them an opportunity to provide feedback to the boys. He commented that with all that experience and knowledge in the stands, he values their feedback and wanted to know what they would say about each teams skills. I told him that their time was limited, but I would pass along his thoughts.
Regards,
Colleen and Steve
I want to pass on my congratulations on the experience and professionalism that was displayed at the 1st Annual Liberty Bell Classic held at the Hatfield Ice Rink. Being involved in youth hockey for the past 12 years and going to all the highest level AAA USA Hockey Tournament events including Nationals this year, I have to say you put on a first class event with scouts from Prep School level to the NHL level. My son being a 92 I felt obligated being from the area to participate not just for my son but for those that now will not have to travel all over North America to get their children a look in the future.
Being the first event you and your staff organized the event that seemed to go off without a hitch. Many people that attended the event were amazed of the number of scouts but also the talent. My hat goes off to all involved and I thank you for the opportunity for Gabe but also the opening of the door for the future of those that can't send their children away, specially under these econonic times.
THANKS!
Sincerely,
Rock
There is no information available for that year.
